Esmeralda, The baker’s daughter (fiction)

Esmeralda is the eldest in a family composed of four kids. Her dad, the neighborhood baker had one wish before leaving this world, witnessing his beloved daughter wedding.
She had just celebrated her 22nd birthday, she is on her prime, and she is ready now.
One time, after a long hectic day at the bakery, and while walking toward her bedroom, she hears her father sitting silently, whispering to his neighbor about his thoughtful wish.
“I will talk to my Meralda tonight, I hope she won’t hesitate or refuse…”
Esmeralda, not in her habit, stopped and pointed her ear closer to hear the entire conversation or so called wedding conspiracy.
“Adam is a fine boy, and I see him perfectly matching my Meralda, all we need to do is to make sure that they meet one day and you’ll see if I’m wrong about my intuition…” added her dad furtively.
Her eyes now got wider; Adam was always the man of her dreams. She couldn’t believe what she heard, her smile reached her attentive ears and her chubby waist juggles, accentuating the nodding of her puffy head.
That same night, Esmeralda slept early, the slight smile on her angel face couldn’t cover the wildness of her dream.
Adam, is the neighborhood athlete, his ultimate goal is to become one day a professional footballer. He kept this dream for himself; after all he couldn’t share it with anyone. His father wanted someone to continue handling his grocery shop business.
